There are 5 choirs in the Feodorovsky cathedral at this time: the younger children choir, the children and youth choir, the training choir, the amateur choir, and the professional choir. Professional, experienced chanters and teachers such as Anastasia Sorokina, Vera Petrova, Kristina Strekalovskaya, and Marina Liforova in charge of the choirs. There is also the school of Byzantine signing and the school of znamenny singing directed by Serafim Astakhov and Natalia Mosyagina, respectively.
The amateur choir of the Feodorovsky cathedral includes both men and women, and was organized shortly before the consecration of the chapel of The New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia on March 28, 1998.
The amateur choir has sung at services since May 17, 1998. It was headed by Marina Liforova for 15 years, up until 2013. She graduated from the Regent department of Saint Petersburg Religious Schools in 1995. In 2013, Vera Petrova became the leading chanter and director of the choir.
In 2012, a professional choir was organized for the early liturgies on Sundays and in light of the perspective of additional services in the Feodorovsky cathedral. Anastasia Sorokina was appointed as the leading regent/director of the professional choir. She is also the director of the parish youth choir and the children’s choir.
